time for a romance

Valentines day is coming! and this year it's Friday!
Why not celebrating Valentines weekend?
start with a nice breakfast for you and your beloved, or even better make it together. P.S. don't you dare washing the dishes...

If the weather is nice we love to take a walk somewhere where we cannot hear anything else but birds, wind and water.

Both of us love to eat. If you don't feel inspired have a look at Jamies Oliver ideas for a romantic meal. I haven't chosen mine yet.

If you don't have time or energy to cook, book a table in your favourite restaurant.

Are you a film maniacs like us? there are some classics you can choose for this special day.
I haven't seen this one yet, but it looks good:

Have nothing to wear? those might be appropriate:
Lace & Mesh TeddyLace & Mesh Merrywidow

However you decide to spend this day I hope you will have amazing time!
And if you single or don't really celebrate Valentines day don't forget to treat yourself with a little thing which will make you smile.

Just a quick post about my sweet and healthy snack today. All you need is milk ( I used soya milk ), one banana, coconut flakes (or you can use coconut milk instead) and maple  syrup (or honey). Optional you can add some fruit. Blend everything together and enjoy your healthy shake. It takes literary one minute. Bon appetite!

my short culinary arts career

They say the way to man's heart is through his stomach.
I remember my first meal prepared for my husband. I made pasta with sweet & sour sauce and Polish sausage. He didn't like it...
He was polite and tried to empty the plate but it wasn't to his liking... ;) Well I was a student then, thinking about my study, friends and wine more than mastering my cooking skills.
After few years I got a little bit better and I have to say he likes my culinary experiments more and more which encourages me to go outside my comfort zone.
Phil is a great cook. From everywhere we go he brings some nice products home and he finds easily new culinary inspiration. It's great when we can transfer some holidays flavors into our kitchen.

home made chilli oil
Halloween celebration

Mediterranean Peppers
aubergine gratin
Polish dumplings with meat
I don't count calories or say no to a desert-ever! and when I see this little box full of amazing Polish chocolates with light like a cloud vanilla souffle inside I am in heaven. If you ever find it on the store shelf don't think twice just grab it to your basket and indulge yourself with it.
You can always find this on my desk :)

Let me know if you'd like to know any of the recipes...

What is you favorite Autumn meal?
